Effective strategy and a strong foundation are key to building a successful brand. We start by analyzing where a brand is and where it wants to go, and then we figure out how to get there. We mix our understanding of marketing and communications with our clients' expertise in their own industries to create something powerful.
Brand Discovery
Brand Goals
Brand goals define what the client hopes to achieve through launching or reinventing a brand. With the desired results established, we'll meet and exceed them, of course.
Personality
A brand has a distinct personality. It can be bold, serious, youthful, energetic, traditional, or even straight-up crazy. Whatever the personality, it should be authentic and audiences must be able to relate.
Values
Brand values = company values. They demonstrate what's important to an organization, its leaders and its audiences. Every little detail of a brand should reflect these values, so it's important that we define them at the beginning.
Audiences
A brand's audience is comprised of internal and external targets for various brand messages. We specify all of the audiences with whom our client communicates or needs to communicate.
Brand Strategy
Competitive Analysis
A competitive analysis offers insight into a company's competition. We like to size up our client's competition a little to evaluate the other players in the marketplace, identify major points of differentiation and create opportunities for effectively positioning a brand. This research and information is valuable from both a marketing and business standpoint.
Market Position Strategy
Positioning puts a brand in its place and highlights the factors that differentiate it from its competition. A brand must offer a unique value to its customers, but equally important is effectively communicating that value to the right audiences.
Recommendations
We take everything we know about the brand, its audiences, its competitors and its needs to develop tactical recommendations. We only suggest visual communications tools that make sense for our client's unique needs and provide a corresponding budget and timeline that fits specific requirements.
Brand Creation/Elevation
Naming
What's in a name? Everything. A name is a brand's first opportunity to communicate and make an impression. We create meaningful and functional names for new brands or existing organizations looking to launch a new product or service, create a sub-brand or upgrade a tired brand.
Value
A value proposition conveys the spirit of a brand in very few words. It is attention grabbing and thought provoking, differentiating the brand for the target audiences.
Positioning/Tagline

A tagline is the brand in a nutshell. It quickly and effectively provides a direct explanation of what the brand is.
Logo/Visual Identity
A logo is a visual representation of a company in a brand mark symbol and/or word mark. We design logos that enhance our clients' visual identities. Looks aren't everything, but first impressions are.
Key Messaging
Key messages are strategic points that must be communicated across various media. Consistency in brand messages builds brand equity and strengthens the brand itself. We develop smart, purposeful key messages that guide strategic content of our visual communications materials, adding value to every tool we deliver.
